Romeo (student) takes his life

LAHORE-A THIRD year student Wednesday ended his life by taking poisonous pills in the Naseerabad police area.

The deceased was identified as Ghazanfar, 18, a resident of Gujranwala. Police said he was presently living at Model Town Colony, Naserabad, and studying in a institute.

Police said that Ghazanfar fell in love with his relative girl and wanted to marry her. He told his family about it, upon which, his family members allegedly snubbed him.

He got dejected and took poisonous pills. His condition went critical and he was removed to hospital where he died.

Man dies of burns: A father of four died in hospital on Wednesday, a few hours after he had sustained burns in a fire in his house in the South Cantt police area.

The deceased was identified as Yaseen, 50, a resident of Bhatha Chowk, RA Bazar. Police said that Yaseen lit a gas stove to beat cold and fell asleep. He sustained burns when a bed sheet caught fire. He was taken to hospital where he died.

Flat gutted: Valuables worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a flat in the Garden Town area on Wednesday.

The cause of the fire was stated to be short- circuit. Fire-fighters after extinguished the fire after hectic efforts.
