LAHORE-PUNJAB University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has stated that spiritual leaders, like Hazrat Data Sahib, have rendered unparalleled services for spreading the Islamic message of peace, love and brotherhood which converted millions of non-Muslims in the Middle East and the subcontinent.
He was addressing the participants of Aalmi Syed Hajver Tasawaf seminar held by mutual collaboration of PU and Provincial Auqaf Department in connection with the 966th Urs of Hazrat Data Gunj Bukhsh on New Campus on Tuesday.
Provincial Secretary Auqaf Najam Saeed, renowned Ulema and Islamic scholars from brotherly Muslim countries of Turkey, Iran and Egypt also addressed the audience.
Principal Pak-Turkish International Institution Adam Akagdek said Muslims were indebted to the services of Sufis for their faith.
DG Iran Culture Centre Dr Abbas Famoori spoke about Sufism in the light of Kashf-ul-Mahjoob by Hazrat Data Gunj Bukhsh.
Head of Urdu Department Egyptian Jamia Azhar Dr Ibrahim Muhammad Ibrahim said Kashf-ul-Mahjoob provided necessary guidance to Muslim society.
International Islamic University Director Dr Muhammad Tufail said there was no room for violence or militancy in Islam.
